Please read the full Resident Agreement and Program Policy carefully before checking the boxes below. You must scroll through and acknowledge all items to submit your application.

1. Purpose of the Program

BIG Props Multi Unit Independent Living Housing ("BIG Props") provides transitional and independent housing to eligible adults in North Carolina, including the cities of Raleigh, Greensboro, Fayetteville, Greenville, Rocky Mount, Tarboro, and Scotland Neck. The program exists to help individuals achieve housing stability, personal growth, and self-sufficiency.

2. Eligibility & Application

Completion of this intake form does not guarantee housing placement. All applicants must meet eligibility criteria as determined by BIG Props staff. Information provided in this form will be reviewed by BIG Props staff only and kept strictly confidential in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

3. House Rules & Community Standards

All residents are expected to:

  • Treat all staff, neighbors, and fellow residents with dignity and respect at all times.
  • Maintain personal cleanliness and contribute to the upkeep of shared common areas (kitchen, bathrooms, living spaces).
  • Adhere to all posted quiet hours and noise guidelines established for each property.
  • Comply with the designated guest policy — guests must be pre-approved by house staff and may not stay overnight without written authorization.
  • Refrain from engaging in any illegal activity on or near BIG Props property.
  • Attend mandatory house meetings as scheduled by program coordinators.

4. Substance-Free Environment

BIG Props maintains a substance-free living environment. The use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs, alcohol, or any unauthorized controlled substances on program property is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate program termination. Residents in active recovery are strongly encouraged to maintain their existing support systems.

5. Financial Obligations

Residents are responsible for timely payment of any program fees or rent contributions as outlined in their individual housing agreement. Failure to meet financial obligations without prior arrangement with program staff may result in program discharge. BIG Props staff will work with residents to connect them with financial assistance resources where available.

6. Wraparound Services & Accountability

Residents who elect wraparound services (such as job readiness, budgeting, credit repair, or life skills coaching) agree to actively participate and attend scheduled sessions. Regular accountability check-ins, where applicable, are a condition of continued program participation for residents who opt into this service.

7. Privacy & Confidentiality

All personal information submitted through this intake form and gathered during program participation is kept strictly confidential. Information will not be shared with any third party without written consent from the applicant, except where required by law (e.g., mandatory reporting of imminent harm). BIG Props staff will only disclose information to other service providers with explicit resident authorization.

8. Right to Terminate & Appeals

BIG Props reserves the right to terminate a resident's housing agreement for violations of program policies, including but not limited to: non-payment, policy violations, or behavior that endangers other residents or staff. Residents have the right to request a review of any termination decision within five (5) business days of written notice.

9. Accuracy of Information

By submitting this application, you certify that all information provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. Providing false or misleading information is grounds for immediate disqualification or program termination. BIG Props may verify information with third-party agencies, case managers, or other relevant parties.

10. Photography & Media Consent

BIG Props may request your consent to photograph or record program activities for promotional, educational, or grant reporting purposes. Participation in any photography or media activities is entirely voluntary and a separate consent form will be provided. Declining does not affect your eligibility for housing services.

11. Limitation of Liability

BIG Props, its staff, volunteers, and affiliated entities are not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property while residing in the program. Residents are encouraged to safeguard personal belongings and obtain renter's insurance where possible. BIG Props is not responsible for outcomes resulting from decisions made independently by residents outside of program guidance.

12. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through good-faith discussion between the resident and BIG Props program leadership. If unresolved, disputes may be escalated to appropriate mediation services in the applicable county.
